Background
Bonnie began riding
motorcycles in 1976. She learned to ride when her family
went on hunting trips down in Mexico on a bike her grandma
gave her.
Her inspirations to race
came from the High School Motocross that was held near
her home at the late Corona Raceway in Corona,
California. Here is where she got started racing
motocross.
Bonnie went on to be a
crucial key in the promotion of women's motocross in the late
1980's. She served as the
Press Relations Manager
for the Women's Motocross Association
aka: W.M.X.A.. Her contributions to the sport are what laid
the ground
work for today's women's motocross.
In
addition to being actively involved with the association,
Bonnie, along with Tami Rice, was also a member of the
American Suzuki Women's MX
Team for several years.
What is she doing now?
Bonnie is the president of
Coach2Ride.com, overseing all business operations for the
company. She is also
an instructor for the business,
licensed to teach UTV, ATV and Dirt Bikes. She is also a
Military Off-Road Safety Instructor, responsible for creating
advanced
curriculums for CR2 and the military.
