Background

Allison Wylde is Director of DSL LTD., the parent company of Ride Moto-X.  Working with YAMAHA UK for 2002, they aim to run the best Moto –X Schools in London and the Southeast.

The Ride Moto –X aim is to encourage everyone from road bike riders to off-roaders - take up the Moto-X challenge; they also want riders who are new to motor bikes and scooters, have a go off-road first!

DSL LTD are also involved in pushing the sport forwards – ‘they want to make a difference’. They're undertaking work with FERODO by sponsoring riders and promoting the brand.

 
GMOTO-X's  Allison is coordinator of the 2003 Etnies Gmoto-X British Girls and Women’s Motocross Championship Series..  Allison states "I got talked into setting up GMOTOX with the aim of achieving status for girls and women’s racing – right up to British Championship level.  There are enough competitors, so let’s get some recognition!  In 2001, we put on 2 rounds and received tremendous press and interest.

Previously in 1992, Allison set up and directed the NDMP Docklands Charity Project, the Flagship Motorsports Youth Project.  The project trained over 5,000 youths to ride moto-x bikes.  Allison raised over £2.5 million from Commercial Sponsorship, the National Lottery Fund and European Funds.

 

 

Allison is a regular Southeast Centre Enduro competitor.  For 2001, Allison finished 3rd in the Natterjack (Ladies class) during the final Round of the British Enduro Championship.  Allison is a former research scientist from UCL + Imperial College London where she studied up to PhD.
