 1996 launched the first year a dedicated women's class promoted by the
newly formed women's motocross organization was established at the AMA - National
level. The U.S. Women's Motorcycle League aka "WML" proudly provided women racers
with their own class, tallying points over the 4 venues to determine the
National Champion.
