Great Britain's ACU - GMotoX Girls & Women's National MX
Championships Series 2001
The two fastest girls (adult) had 1
win a piece and one 2nd place – they were tied right up to
the last moto. The eventual
winner, Katie Wakely from Dorchester aged 17 on a Yamaha YZ125, won the
series by winning the final moto.
Emma Clack, from Gloucester, was the winner in the open class on
her Yamaha YZF 4-Stroke.
In
the schoolgirls class, Kelly Ward on her Honda CR125 won both rounds and was the
clear winner. In the 85 b/w
Ashley Gregory on a Honda CR85 won overall through a win the first round
and a 2nd place in the final round. In 85 s/w Kelly Phillips
mounted a Kawasaki KX85 was the clear winner winning both round our right.
In the juniors, 65cc Andrea Merrett competing on a Kawasaki KX65 was the clear
winner winning both rounds outright.
Finally, in the youngest rider’s class the Autos; Billie Faye
Sizer on her KTM 55 was the winner, through her 2nd place in round
1 and win in round 2.
