Media interest
Moto-x editor at Trials and Moto-X News (the UK’s leading weekly publication),
Graham Milne, said the championship had grown rapidly in the past 3 years, and
it was vital in encouraging the girls to participate in the sport:
What is Gmoto-x?
It is a gritty, hard dirt bike competition - it’s on the edge, it’s physically
demanding, and relentless. Female racers must really push hard to compete in
this traditionally male-dominated sport. Each success results in a confidence
boost, but failure is ever present - the slightest mistake can prove decisive in
the battle to win.
Gmoto-x – the bikes and the classes.
Moto-x bikes are purpose-built racing machines, designed to cope with tough
off-road terrain. ACU rules govern the ages and classes; riders are separated by
age and machine size. Each race consists of 3"motos"; point’s won from each moto
count towards the final score.

FERODO brakes will also continue to sponsor Gmoto-x, 2002 winners will receive product for the 2003 campaign - and the overall winner and her family will be treated to a V.I.P. tour of the World Superbike Series Championship at Silverstone.
The Anton Group Printers will also continue to support the event by supplying printed materials; the 2002 leaflets and the 2001 programmes were fantastic.
