The
Women´s Amateur Championship Series has run for over ten years.
Prior to the 2001 season, the women were combined with the men's Vet
class due to the low number of participants.
The past 2 years have seen the women race alone, in there own class
competing for the amateur championship title.
Each year, their numbers have increased as they have caught the attention
of the promoters who realize that the women are serious. All riders must be at least 14 years of age to compete.
The class is an open class (85cc to 500cc).
Most of the women compete on 125cc motorcycles. The organizing body is DAMCV and is connected with the
International Motorcycle Organization for Amateurs in Europe (IMBA) who
coordinates with other amateur organizations from Europe to include England,
Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Czechia, Denmark and Luxemburg.
The benefits of such an alliance is that racers from these countries can
participate in the DAMCV events as their countries license are honored. For more information on this series, visit www.damcv.de
