All Japan Ladies Motocross Championship Series 2001
With the increasing number of female participants in Japan, the national promoters of the All Japan Motocross Championship Series decide to add a ladies class to the program. This year was the first time women in Japan could compete together Nationally as the 2001 All Japan Ladies Motocross Championship Series was born. In Japan, this was proof women's motocross was now established as its' own entity.
Although there had been women's events in prior years, this was the first on a National level equal to the men. It was the reigning champion, Saya Suzuki, who would take home the crown this year.
